Bio
As a researcher and practitioner, my work brings critical perspectives to the study of the internationalization of higher education. My study seeks to acknowledge and break the hidden colonial and power hierarchical patterns of educational practices.

Education
I received my Ph.D. in higher education at Old Dominion University, Virginia, US. I received my MEd. in Curriculum, Instruction, and Innovation from Northwest Nazarene University, Idaho, US, and BA in English from Xi’an Eurasia University, Shaanxi, China.
Employment
I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Education at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. My research areas are internationalization of higher education, humanized and ethical higher education, experiences and nuances between Asian American and Asian international student experiences in the US, neo-racism, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
